BENSENVILLE, Ill.- In a much anticipated clash that electrified Chicago hockey fans, the Chicago Cougars Premier delivered a commanding 6-0 shutout victory over crosstown rivals, the Chicago Crush, on Friday night. The Edge Ice Arena roared with excitement as the Cougars dominated in every facet of the game, showcasing their offensive prowess, defensive resilience, and the brilliance of goaltender Bennett Pieters.

The Cougars wasted no time setting the tone, with Liam Norton finding the back of the net just over two minutes into the first period. Assists from Payton Hauge and Ben Moak set the stage for Norton's eighth goal of the season, sending a surge of energy through the Cougars faithful. Liam Norton wasn't done yet, adding another goal with two minutes left in the opening period, assisted once again by the dynamic duo of Ben Moak and Aidan Canady.


The second period saw the Cougars continuing their offensive onslaught. Arthur Pawlik extended the lead to 3-0 with a precision shot, capitalizing on assists from Nikolay Ouriashev and Aidan Canady. Gerdas Paulauskas added another goal late in the period, securing a comfortable 4-0 lead heading into the final frame.
