BENSENVILLE, Ill.- In an intense battle at the Edge Ice Arena, the Chicago Cougars Elite faced off against their arch-rivals, the Chicago Crush, in a game that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Unfortunately for the home team, the Chicago Cougars, the night ended in a hard-fought 4-3 loss to the Chicago Crush.
The opening period was a rollercoaster of emotions. Kaleb Freyman of the Crush struck first at 13:59, but the Cougars quickly responded with goals from Dylan Gudovic at 15:12 and Gabe Tourtillott at 18:04. The excitement was palpable, but Jace Levine of the Crush managed to level the score at 2-2 by the end of the first period, setting the stage for a nail-biting contest.
