Chicago Cougars Forward Jake Schlereth and his Team USA win Deaf olympic Gold!

Chiavenna, ITALY. Chicago Cougars Forward Jake Schlereth and his Team USA win Deafolympic Gold! The team defeated Canada in the Gold Medal game to claim first place in the event and bring back the Gold medal. Schlereth played an integral role on the team as a top 9 Forward with 2 Goals and 2 Assists in the 5 game IOC tournament held between December 13th and 21st in Chiavenna, Italy . Schlereth currently has 17 Points in 23 Games Played for the 1st place Cougars in his rookie Junior season. Schlereth has become a team and fan favorite with his energy, physicality, heart and soul, and will to block shots on the Penalty kill. Congratulations Jake, we are very proud!
